HOLD THE PRESSES

Street Art Frankey

The 29 homes of De Drukkerij at Admiraal de Ruyterweg 56 have now been completed. Where printing presses once operated, a distinctive residential building with a rich history has now taken shape.

The real eye-catcher, however, can be found on the side of the building. There, a work of art by artist Frankey, also known as Street Art Frankey, is on display. He began his career with small, illegal urban interventions, most of which were temporary in nature. The work that adorns De Drukkerij is anything but small or temporary: from a giant letterbox, a sheet of paper rolls out, which a life-sized Frankey catches with both hands.
